Librarians' Forum Meetings

The Librarians' Forum meets monthly on the third Wednesday of the month during the academic year. Attendees are invited to mingle with colleagues and enjoy refreshments at 8:30am, while programs are scheduled for 9-10:30am. Although the organization was formed to address issues of interest to librarians, we sincerely and enthusiastically extend an open invitation to all events organized by the Forum to all other library staff.

Organizing programming for the monthly meetings is the responsibility of the current Forum Board. The Board keeps the concerns, issues and interests of librarians in mind when planning meetings and other events. Traditionally two meetings have been set aside for particular content each year. During the December meeting librarians across the system offer more personal presentations on themes such as hobbies or past careers. The May meeting is set aside to discuss the Promotion Review process for librarians going up for promotion and their supervisors.
