The October Librarians' Forum meeting entitled, "Taking Stock: MLibrary Professional Development, Training, and Education," will focus on current professional development and training opportunities at the University Library. Instructor College
Patricia Yocum
Training and Documentation Group
Julie Weatherbee

Planning ahead, we will continue the theme in a brainstorming session at the November Librarians' Forum meeting. We'll start by identifying and discussing the ideal or expected skills and competencies of librarians and examine the communication, development, training, and education needs of librarians across library divisions, including Technical Services, Information Technology, Public Services, and Scholarly Research.
These sessions are presented as part of the year-long Librarians' Forum series, "Librarianship: Current and Future Trends in Education, Skills, and Competencies." Look for additional programs designed to address this current and important issue in our evolving profession.
All are welcome to attend.
