Kinds of jobs/roles in libraries in the near future

What kinds of jobs/roles do you think will exist or should exist in the future (5 or 10 years)?

What are the characteristics of that job and person in it?

A trend is already emerging whereby librarians are getting involved in formulating general education guidelines. As universities increasingly identify critical thinking and information literacy as part of their mission goals, librarians are partnering with faculty to achieve this objective. I think instruction and faculty liaison will strengthen in the coming years.
