Committee on Funding for Librarians' Research & Creative Projects

Are you interested in writing a book or article, putting together a
researched exhibit, creating an innovative tool, or pursuing some other unique project?

Did you know that there is special funding for research & creative projects that can help you accomplish your goals?

General guidelines for projects:

  • $3000 limit on any one project
  • Available to anyone who falls in the librarian job family within the University Library
  • Projects should explore a library related topic
  • Projects should NOT do the work of a unit
  • Projects should have a demonstrable outcome
  • There is no deadline for applying, but funds may run out so act now!

More information about the process for requesting funds can be found on the committee's webpage. Contact Suzanne
Chapman (suzchap@umich.edu) for questions or to submit an application.
