Midwest Connection Lighthouses Page
Midwest Connection Lighthouses Page
Description: This site has a pretty spiffy collection of pages and information on lighthouses across the Great Lakes. if you click on the lake that you are interested in, you can then click on any of the lighthouses that dot the lake. Sometimes I think this makes more sense than breaking things down by state, or country. Just think about Lake Erie with four states and one province.
They offer five ways to navigate the site:
Region - Lets you pick through a series of regions, starting with the entire U.S.A., to narrow down your search. - Best is the Great Lakes
Index - An alphabetical listing of Lighthouses throughout the Midwest. Just click on the name in the listing to view a particular Lighthouse.
Coastline Tours - With this regional map you pick one of the colored tours. This will then walk you through a series of Lighthouses in that tour. Great for planning trips to see a series of Lighthouses. NOTE: Not all the shorelines of the Great Lakes are listed. I might do that on the northern short of Lake Erie this summer on the way to Cooperstown.
Previous / Next Buttons - Move very easily to different site. And a search function on the main page.
Excellent resource, primarily for Great Lakes lighthouses.
