Many Apple Related Books Available Free
Through the University Library's Safari Tech Books Online, all students, faculty, and staff at all three U-M campuses can access a number of Apple related books. Titles include "Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro HD", "Apple Training Series: Mac OS X Server Essentials" and "AppleScript: The Missing Manual."
If you are on a U-M IP address, checkout the entire title-by-title list. If you are not on campus, you can get a U-M IP address by using either the ITCom VPN or CAEN VPN solutions.
According to the CAEN information page, "there is a limit of seven concurrent users (shared among all three U-M campuses)." To release your user slot, they ask us to logout when we are finished.

TSM on 10.4
In October 2005, IBM released a new TSM client for the Mac that supports 10.4. The client only works with Tivoli Storage Manager server Version 5.2.2 and above. ( ITCS is currently running TSM server 5.2.2 ).
Some new features of this version include:
- The Tivoli Storage Manager Macintosh Client now uses UNIX file paths for options, schedules, and file system names on the Tivoli Storage Manager server.
- The Tivoli Storage Manager Macintosh client can back up and restore Extended Attribute data.
More details can be found in the readme.
