NCBI Short Course - Registration Now Open

Taubman Medical Library, the Department of Human Genetics, and the Program in Bioinformatics will again be hosting a Short Course on the National Center for Biotechnology Information's GenBank and related databases. The Field Guide to NCBI Resources, consisting of a lecture and a hands-on computer session, will be held on Thursday, September 7. A course on exploring 3D molecular structures using NCBI's tools (again consisting of a lecture and hands-on session) is scheduled for Friday, September 8. Short courses covering more specialized topics (Entrez, BLAST, disease gene identification, and gene identification in human genome sequences) are scheduled for September 14-15.
