Science Library Offers Introduction to NCBI Databases

The Science Library will offer a new 4-class introduction to the National Center for Biotechnology Information databases and tools beginning October 25. These classes will cover the following topics:

Week 1 (10/25): Overview and Entrez
Week 2 (11/1): BLAST
Week 3 (11/8): Genes and Genomes
Week 4 (11/15): Proteins

Classes will be held in the University Library Instructional Center (Shapiro 4th floor) on Wednesdays from 3-4 PM. Each class is an independent session; you do not need to attend earlier classes to register for later classes. Registration information and class descriptions can be found on the University Library Workshops schedule page. Participants must register for each class separately.
