Construction ending in front of Shapiro Libraries
The project to replace the service tunnels in front of the Shapiro Library building is almost complete! The tunnels are finished and buried, pavement is restored, and the fences have come down. Pedestrians can once again walk freely from the arch to the Diag.

Construction Begins on Berts Cafe
Construction has just started on Bert's Cafe. This new coffee shop, to be located just inside the entrance to the Shapiro Library, is funded by a generous donation from alumnus Bertram Askwith (LSA 31.)
Bert's Cafe is scheduled to open in February 2008.

Extended Hours for Askwith Media Library
From 11/12/2007 through 12/12/2007, the Askwith Media Library will extend hours of operation to better serve patrons in the evenings and on Sunday. These longer hours are intended to increase AML access for walk-in patrons, and to provide more time for students to view reserve materials in the AML.
Askwith Media Library Hours of Operation, 11/12/07 - 12/12/07
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. (increase of two hours per night)
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (usual hours)
Saturday: Closed (as per usual)
Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (increase of two hours)
