New Reserves Location, Circulation Desk Hours Starting January
Beginning January 3, all Science course reserves items will be available at the main circulation desk of the Shapiro Undergraduate Library, on the first floor of the Shapiro Building. Instructors who have questions about the reserve circulation changes should contact Janine Zajac at 734.764.3442 or janinez@umich.edu.
Beginning January 2, the Science Library Circulation desk hours will change to M-F 8am-9pm. The Shapiro Building will remain open for its normal schedule of 8am-5am, and circulation staff on the first floor will be available to assist you during your late-night and weekend visits.

Library Open 24 Hours for Exams
Starting Sunday, December 9, the Shapiro Library will be open 24 hours a day most days through the end of exams (Dec. 20.)
After exams end, we will remain open, on an adjusted schedule, most days during the intersession and holiday period.
You can view a full list of Shapiro Science Library hours in the Library's online Hours database.

ISI Web of Knowledge: New Interface Available Now
The new interface for ISI Web of Knowledge is now available. Click on the "Access the New Version!" button at the top of the web page. This will become the main interface in January 2008.
The new interface is easier to use, while allowing for the use of additional search fields. The results page also includes an improved refine search menu to the left of your search results.

Welcome New Science Librarian!
We are delighted to announce that Jacob Glenn has joined the staff of the Shapiro Science Library.
Prior to his appointment at the Science Library, Jake was a Library Associate at the UM Art, Architecture and Engineering Library. This summer he participated in teaching a series on new Web technologies.
Jake has a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Iowa and a Master of Science in Information from the U-M School of Information. He is working on working on a number of library projects and will be participating in collection development, instruction and reference. Welcome, Jake!
