One Million Books Digitized

The University of Michigan's University Library has just put the millionth book from its collection on-line. That's one million out of the 7.5 million volumes in the library's current holdings.

You can search for these digitized books, and read fulltext of books in the public domain, via MBooks.

The one millionth volume features the extraordinary life story of Maria Mitchell, America's first woman astronomer. Read more about her and about one million books.
