Springer E-Books Now Available
The University Library recently purchased a massive (over 10,000 titles) collection of ebooks from Springer. It includes most of their English-language books published between 2005-2008, as well as some other imprints owned by Springer. Access to this content is already live (on UM IP addresses, or after authentication to another library resource from off campus) at: http://www.springerlink.com/books
Records are still being loaded into Mirlyn; however, the books are now available.
The green icons on the Springer site are a good indicator of what we have access rights to view.
This ebook collection has unlimited users--you and all your friends can read them at the same time. UM also has archival rights, so we "own" (not rent/lease) this collection. You can also read or print a chapter at a time.
Please let your subject librarian know your comments about this collection and its functionality--both what you like and dislike.
