UM Biostation Celebrates Centennial
This summer, the UM "campus in the north woods" celebrates its 100th session.
In 1908, Colonel and Mrs. Charles Bogardus donated the first acres on Douglas Lake, near Pellston. Since then, the Biostation has expanded dramatically, offering many spring and summer courses as well as opportunites for doctoral and faculty research. The Biostation Library, part of the UM Science Libraries, supports research and instruction.
Read the centennial press release here.
The Biostation website includes information on courses offered there, and on the centennial open house June 28 and Celebration Weekend this August.
