I disagree about the suit. I personally think interviewees should always wear a suit. I also think it would be better NOT to do the interview from home, especially if "home" is north campus where the wireless is so unreliable.

Can SI create a "skype interview" room with a nice bookself in the background of an officy-looking room? It could have a good connection, maybe an Ethernet cable for a reliable connection. And have a good camera, better than student can afford, and a high-quality microphone. Maybe professional lighting, like for photography. Then we could sign up to use it.


Just an idea.
