ABOUT AVESS & Virtual Ability:
http://virtualability.org/default.aspx
"Virtual Ability, Inc. and ADL Company proudly announce the initiation of the AVESS (Amputee Virtual Environment Support Space) Project. AVESS is funded by the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC). The purpose of this project is to establish best practices and protocols for the provision of on-line peer-to-peer support services for military amputees and their families. The first phase of this project will create demonstration environments in Second LifeĀ®, although the final product will be on a stand-alone server that the Army can control behind its own firewalls."

A few pictures from the video shoot are here.

The video is now available for viewing, and you can find some of the same people in it. :) Kind of nice to combine a wonderful learning experience with later being able to recognize yourself in the movie!
