Howard Rheingold at ISTE Island

For those of you who couldn't make it to the Howard Rheingold presentation tonight at ISTE Island, Scottmerrick Oh has put up some video excerpts.

Howard Rheingold in Second Life!: http://scottsecondlife.blogspot.com/2008/04/howard-rheingold-in-second-life.html

Howard presented to a capacity crowd, which maxed out the SIM at around 74 avatars. The topic was "Cyberspace is Social!" My favorite line was "critical mass of enthusiasts," which was given in the context of attempting to bring a literate level of use of social technologies into large academic institutions, also referred to as "knowledge factories." Here is one pic of Howard arriving for the presentation.
