School of Nursing Co-Sponsors International Conference in Thailand

The School of Nursing will be co-sponsoring New Frontiers in Primary Health Care: Role of Nursing and Other Professions with the Faculty of Nursing of Chiang Mai University (Thailand). The conference will "explore the issues in Primary Health Care (PHC) in a diverse context; to dialogue on PHC to pull together the experiences, lesson learned and future foreseeable problematic issues in order to learning and improve the health care professions in primary health care and nurses’ roles within the health system."

Certificate in Nursing Education Offered

In Winter 2007 the Faculty approved a Certificate in Nursing Education (CNE) option. Students currently enrolled in the Masters (MS or NUGS) or Doctoral (PhD) program can elect to complete the CNE. A post-master's option is available individuals who have a masters or doctoral degree in nursing from another institution. New Online List of Current Grant Projects

GRO has developed a new webpage featuring currently funded grants. It is accessible through the SON Research or GRO webpages, or directly at http://sitemaker.umich.edu/gro/view_funded_grants

The webpage includes external grants where the PI is a SON faculty member/research scientist. The PI's name is linked to their individual webpage. Please note that the grants will be removed from the list at the published end date, so please let Chris Black know if your grant has an extension.
