New OVID (UM-MEDSEARCH) Interface in January!
Announcing a New Look for UM-Medsearch
In January, UM-MEDSEARCH will have a new look. If you typically search MEDLINE through UM-MEDSEARCH, you will easily adjust to this new interface.
The new version will open to a search mode called “Ovid Syntax”, which works the same as the current advanced search mode. The terms you enter are mapped to Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) to encourage the use of those terms for a precise search.
We have already begun including the new interface in instructional sessions. Classes to introduce the new look will be held during Winter 2008. We will also feature introductions to some of the enhanced features on our home pages at www.lib.umich.edu/taubman and http://www.lib.umich.edu/hsl throughout the Winter semester.
If you would like to take a quick peek now, follow this link.
Further questions may be addressed to The Taubman Medical Library Reference Desk at 763-3071 or medical.library@umich.edu.
