Do you know any good public domain sources for old photos and footage of Detroit?

Clicking on links or pictures will take you to the source website with more pictures or you may need to do new search.

Also in VRC Image Research Guide (there is link on main page of this blog too) you can find helpful links under [Image Resources -- World Access], especially American Memory Project, Life Magazine Photo Archive, NYPL Digital Gallery.

On the same guide click on Multimedia. Try links under [Moving Image]: Internet Archive of Moving Images, PBS Video, The Open Video Project.

For more help you can e-mail us at aael/vrc@umich.edu or call 734-615-1376.
