No May Meeting and Accessible Video News
This is a reminder that we will not meet during May because of Enriching Scholarship. I have will make my slides for my two ES sessions (Best Practices for Making Accessible Web Sites / Forms and Tables) public after ES is over with. They both center on WCAG 2.0.
There has been a bit of news on Accessible Videos. Captionate is a relatively inexpensive flash video captioning solution. I hope to try it soon.
OSU has developed an accessible version of the JW Player called JW Player Controls for displaying moves on web pages. Their page gives good instructions on how to create captions using the timed-text XML format developed by the W3C, called DFXP.
I have an example (without captions) comparing the same video in JW Player and in JW Player Controls.
