Web services sponsorship option
A few situations that have come to my attention involve providing temporary access to UM web services to non UM users. These users can collaborating faculty, special courses that do not go through the normal registration process, etc. We have this issue with the collaboration faculty in the predoctoral program and in the faculty development course we offer. I have in the past suggested Friends accounts but there is another option now - Sponsorship. Sponsorship does have a cost associated but provides more benefits than the Friends account.
