Over the past semester I’ve enjoyed del.ico.us’ing as it encouraged me to read more articles and explore the Internet than I might have without the assignment. The majority of the websites that I posted were articles that I found very interesting. These articles were very diverse in topic ranging from summaries of current events to offbeat how to’s, such as one I found about how to get rid of hiccups faster. I also used my del.icio.us to post interesting videos I would find on youtube.com, which my friends in my del.icio.us network might be interested in watching too. The requirement to have half our posts be related to information technology was very helpful. It forced me to read more about the latest developments and technologies that I would otherwise not be as informed about. At first I was quite hesitant and often forgot to post these information technology related sites and articles, but by mid semester I was really engaged, posting mostly these sites.
My favorite feature of del.icio.us was that it displayed how many other people posted the same website. This not only allowed me to see how popular certain topics were, but was an easy way to see what else people with similar interests were looking at or found interesting. Unlike Google, del.icio.us offers other features that make discovery easy such as the “popular” and “recent” pages. These allowed me to quickly see what were the most popularly posted sites on del.icio.us or just see what was most recently posted. Often times I would find some other really cool articles and sites, in which cause del.icio.us served me more like dig.com, a popular book-marking site I use for discovery.
All in all, I would consider my del.icio.us experience to be a valuable one. I’ve never actually participating in a social book-marking site by actually doing the book marking, but rather only by reading other people’s posts. However, after this experience, I think will continue to post (maybe not as frequently though) and someone can find something interesting that they had not seen before. I’d really like to give back to the social book marking community since they have been enlightening me for so long.

HAWT. music, movies, gossip, life...the Final Group Blog post
The Final Post: A look back at our blog...by Grayson
over the past semester, we've done a lot of blogging about some of our favorites things in entertainment. tommy hit up the movie world, nikki covered celebrity news and gossip (naturally) and i gave some insight into some new albums.
tommy reviewed films, bringing his keen interest in action, drama, acting and hot actresses to the blogisphere. by taking a look at newer films like blades of glory, 300, and this summer's ocean 13, he could tell you what to watch out for or what to avoid. and with the older films like into the blue, he gave movies you may have overlooked a second chance.
nikki took a look at everything from brit brit to naked harry potter (of course she would) to anna nicole smith. i mean what's more important than knowing what is going on in some of our favorite celebrity's lives? not a whole lot! i mean there's nothing like having something to compare your own life with.
there's nothing worse than having nothing new to listen to on your way to work or while walking it out with your ipod (now walk it out, now walk it out). so i spent some time giving you something new to maybe consider checking out. everything from rap (timbaland) to pop (justin timberlake) to country (taylor swift). i dug into my own library to find you something tastee to rock out to. whether you like up and coming artists, or local artists or weren't sure if your favorite artist's new album was worth your time, i hit it. hard.
Before this semester, if someone had told me to "delicious it," I would have given them a weird look. Delicious is an adjective not a verb and why would I ever have to "delicious" anything? Well, thanks to BIT 200, I have had the pleasure of discovering that delicious isn't just a word, but one of my newest favorite internet tools, the social bookmarking website del.icio.us.
What makes the site so great is its ease of use and convenience. If I find a site that I like while I'm randomly searching the web in some random location, I can just post it onto del.icio.us, knowing that I'll be able to find it with the click of a mouse button, since it's virtually stored all in one place.
Not to mention you can organize your links by the tags you assign to each post. You can take this organization further by clustering similar tags into a Tag Bundle. I really liked this feature and utilized it well as evidenced by numerous bundles including "Entertainment", "Fun Stuff", and "Search,Tools, and Tips". It facilitates the process of finding the specific bookmark you're looking for.
What's even better is that you can del.icio.us stalk your friends who have accounts or other people who have really interesting links and see what new sites they've found, thus the "social" aspect of the site. That way, you can find all these links you never knew existed without really trying (making search and discovery that much easier). You can even send links to your friends who are part of your del.ici.ous network. In fact, Tommy, Grayson, and I have are all part of each other's networks.
Since Tommy, Grayson, and I decided to blog about the entertainment industry from movies to music to celebrities, we bookmarked a lot of sites pertaining to that topic on del.icio.us. For example, Tommy liked to surf the internet for official movie websites that he thought were intriguing or stumbled upon through imdb.com. He also looked at Rotten Tomatoes to see what critics thought of certain movies. Since Grayson looooves music, he usually kept abreast with hot artists through their myspace accounts or official websites. As for me, I have a very long list of my favorite entertainment websites that I tracked, which I have mentioned throughout my blogs, my absolute favorites being Pink is the new blog and Just Jared. Those two blogs always have new information everyday on my favorite and not so favorite celebrities complete with hot pictures.
Other interesting things to note about our del.icio.us bookmarks:
Tommy has bundled his movie tags under the "blog" category
Grayson went bookmarking happy with over 200 bookmarks :) with his music sites scattered all throughout
I've listed my entertainment sites under the "entertainment" bundle and websites that I've bookmarked and mentioned on my blog are tagged "Bit_Blog"
Although news tied to Anna Nicole Smith has been continuously making headlines ever since her death on February 8th, I've refrained from commenting on it thus far because I felt that this drama has been overexposed in the media. Throughout her life, Anna Nicole always knew how to spur some controversy whether it be through her Playboy photoshoots, her marriage to oil tycoon Howard Marshall II, her fight for his estate, her venture into reality TV, or her remarkable weight loss. So it makes sense that after her death, people still want to talk about her. However, after reading CNN's Report on her daughter, Dannielynn Hope's, paternity saga, I've finally caved in.
Yesterday, April 10th, two months after Anna Nicole's death, Larry Birkhead - Anna Nicole's ex-boyfriend - officially found out from the Bahamian courts what he's been telling everyone all along: he's Dannielynn's father. Howard K. Stern, the man who's had custody of the baby and who also claimed to be the father, says he won't fight for custody.
Larry Birkhead's reaction upon exiting the courthouse says it all for me. He pumped both his fists in the air and broke into a wide grin, revealing genuine delight. This reaction signals to me that Birkhead's fervent plea for a paternity test wasn't just a way to drag this story and extend his 15 minutes of fame, but rather it was a sincere request to have his rightful daughter under his care. Hopefully, Dannielynn hasn't been traumatized by this grueling court battle because at the end of the day her well-being is what should matter the most.
Before the courts in the Bahamas officially announced Birkhead as Dannielynn's biological father yesterday, I noticed that numerous sites, including people.com, accesshollywood.com, and aforementioned CNN.com, posted articles anticipating the press release. The sites would say something to the effect of "in a few hours, the courts will reveal who dannielynn's biological father is..." I couldn't believe how captivated the media is with this story. This type of reporting seems more fit for a high profile murder trial than a simple paternity test...
I'm not going to be reviewing a movie in this blog. I am going to take this time to give you some advice on movie critics. We are here to give our take on the wonderful films that we have seen. Take what we say with a grain of salt because if you truly want to go see a movie go see it, don't always listen to what other people have to say about it. That is one thing I never really liked about movie critics. They tell me that a movie will be bad but what do they really know? If a movie looks good I'm going to go and see it. Furthermore, many of the movies I wrote about were movies that I either liked or want to see, so my opinions are a bit bias. But nonetheless, I have brought you some great pictures and trailers to get you engaged into the movie industry, and if you want to go see a movie that I wrote about great, but even if you don't want to go see any of the movies I talked about, that is fine too. So just remember, if you don't think a movie will be that great, don't pay all that money for the theaters, just rent it from blockbuster. That is my tip for the day.
Artist: Timbaland
Album: Presents: Shock Value
Genre: R&B, Rock, Pop, Hawt
Release Date: April 3rd, 2007
Timbaland, the musical genius behind justin timberlakes futuresex/lovesounds and nelly furtado's "promiscuous" is finally out with his own album, shock value. not only are the beats are hot as you would expect from timbo, but the music guests are fantastic. to name a few of the other vocalists jammin with timbo: justin timberlake, nelly furtado, dr. dre, tony yayo (of g-unit), missy elliot, the hives, fall out boy and sir elton john.
shock value's sound is as diverse as its musical guest list. you've got your standard club hits: "give it to me," "bounce" to more r&b'ish type jams: "scream," "apologize," hard rap: "come & get me" and pop rock: "one & only," "time.
you got to give timbo credit for pulling together such an interesting and musically diverse album. not only are the tracks all very different, but they are for the most part all very entertaining. obviously, some people will like some tracks more than other based on what their musical genre preference is, but if you love timbo's beats, you'll love this.
According to another one of my favorite entertainment news sources (and television shows), ET Online, American Idol's using its popularity to raise some money for children's charities targeted to helping those impoverished in Africa and America. The ratings giant and reality show phenom has been wrangling numerous celebrities to join the cause, including its most famous alum, Kelly Clarkson - America's very first American Idol. Other celebs include Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Forest Whitaker, Helena Bonham Carter, Daniel Radcliffe, Teri Hatcher and Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson).
The charity drive, entitled "Idol Gives Back", is set to coincide with the show's Tuesday, April 24, and Wednesday, April 25, airdates. On Tuesday night, every vote tallied will earn a donation to a charity from sponsors News Corporation, Ford, Coca-Cola and AT&T. Then on Wednesday's Result show, viewers can make their own donation while hot performers - Gwen Stefani, Josh Groban, Pink, Michael Bublé, Annie Lennox, Il Divo, and Borat (Sacha Baron Cohen) - take the stage. Idol's banking on the tried and true formula of celebrity swaying power to get more contributions.
I think it's great that Idol's using its strong media presence for a worthy cause. Every time celebrities rally together to raise awareness and raise funds, such as 2005's Live 8 Concert, great things happen. It's even more awesome to see that Idol Gives Back isn't just coming at a time when some major disaster occurred - there are people suffering in the world all the time and we can't forget that.
Comedy Blades of Glory hit the mark with me. It is a very funny movie that is full of typical Will Ferrell one liners. I was sketchy going in to see a movie about figure skating because it is definitely not one of my favorite sports, but the all-time great combo of Jon Heder and Will Ferrell caught my attention. I did not want to miss what might be my only opportunity to see Napoleon Dynamite teamed up with Ron Burgundy.
This movie has a fairly simple plot about two famous figure skaters with very different styles. Jimmy MacElroy (Jon Heder) is a skater who focuses completely on style and showmanship, while Chazz Michael Michaels (Will Ferrell) works the crowd, especially the ladies, with his dazzling effects and tricks. They both are competing for supremacy in the figure skating world. In the opening act the two compete in a big time event and end up tying, while accepting their medals they get into a fist fight in the middle of the ice. This causes the two men to be banned from figure skating for the rest of their lives. One note that I would like to mention is that William Daniels plays a role in this movie. For those of you who don't know who that is, he played Mr. Feeny on my all-time favorite TV show Boy Meets World. I digress. Superstalker Hector (Nick Swardson) finds a loophole in the system and tells Jimmy that all he has to do is sign up for doubles and he can skate again. Jimmy is skeptical at first but then he realizes he wants to skate because it is all that he knows how to do. He has trouble finding a partner until his old coach (Craig T. Nelson) gets the crazy idea that he should pair up with hated enemy Chazz Michael Michaels. Things are rough at first but the two eventually get along and find their way to the big stage at the national winter games in Canada. They have to compete against the best doubles team of all time Fairchild and Stranz Van Waldenberg.
The movie is very funny but it is a little corny at times, which is to be expected from a Will Ferrell and Jon Heder flick. But all in all in is a pretty good movie that I was not disappointed by. Will Ferrel is a genius when it comes to comedy. He really knows what he is doing and I've even heard he ad libs some of his scenes which makes it that much more hysterical. I'll give you a little flavor from the movie. This is my favorite convo between Jimmy and Chazz:
Chazz: Night is a dark time for me.
Jimmy: It's a dark time for everyone.
Chazz: Not people in Alaska or dudes with night vision goggles.
This is just one of the many one liners portrayed in the movie. But as usual I will provide a trailer below so you can check it out if you would like.
Music News - iTunes Songs Without Copyright Protection?
Grayson's Music Post
as many of you probably know, when you buy a song of iTunes, it comes along with copyright protection (protected AAC file). this is a problem if you want to burn your music as a data disk or if you want to move it between devices. according to apple, as of april 2nd, 2007, you will be able to by EMI music's entire digital cataloge without DRM (digital rights managment). the move away from DRM came after apple chief executive officer steve jobs asked EMI, universal music group, sony BMG music entertainment, and warner music group corp. to let apple remove DRM software from online music in february.
anyways, this is a start, as EMI is the world's third largest music company. songs will be offered at $1.29 for higher quality, DRM-free tracks and $0.99 for the normal quality tracks. if anything, this move should result in increased sales for apple as people with digital music players besides the iPod will be able to play music bought through iTunes.
Justin Timberlake making his grand entrance by hanging onto a megasized Kid's Choice Awards Blimp
When I watch TV, I usually just flip to a few of my favorite channels: E!, MTV, ESPN, NBC, and ABC. No cartoons for me. However, today as I read through Trent's blog [April 1, 2007], Pink Is the New Blog, and saw his post about the 2007 Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards, all my fond memories of Nick cartoons and shows - Guts, Rugrats, Doug, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Double Dare, Rocko's Modern Life - came flooding back to me...but enough with my nostalgic digression, I need to squeeze in some entertainment news by reporting on the KCA 07.
Clockwise from top left: Nicole Kidman with an extremely slimy Tobey McGuire and Steve Carell, Fantastic 4's Jessica Alba and Chris Evans, JT and Vince Vaughn enjoying more slime, Orlando Bloom accepting the blimp for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (Favorite Movie)
The show - celebrating it's 20th anniversary - was held live last night, March 31, 2007, at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion and hosted by the very talented and very popular Justin Timberlake. Why do they have to wrangle a hot ex-boy bander now? When I was infatuated with the Kid's Choice Awards (aka until I was 13), I got stuck with Rosie O'Donnell as a host. JT = definite upgrade.
Thousands of kids showed their appreciation for having their voice heard by incessantly screeching the entire night, especially when slime was involved. Considering it's the show's 20th, there was definitely a lot of it. In fact, as JT sang his Broadway-esque opening number, slime kept popping out from the floors, getting dumped from buckets by little kids, and falling from the ceiling all onto celebrities and strangers alike.
During the very casual yet fun night, the kids enjoyed seeing their favorite celebs receive their orange Nick blimp for categories in movies, music, tv, and sports. The winners list includes JT for Favorite Male Singer, Dakota Fanning for Favorite Female Movie Star, and Shaq for Favorite Athlete. Hmmm...didn't Shaq win when I was seven?!
Ever since I was little, the KCA has consistently had great celebrity turnouts, and when I was little, I never thought anything of it. I was just ready to scream my head off at the cute movie stars on the stage. Now, I realize that while they may like kids, celebs are really just there to promote their next movie, next album, next whatever. How did I come to this realization? Well, every time a celebrity was introduced, JT or the announcer just happened to mention his/her next movie, album, whatever. Sorta depressing, but at the end of the day, the bottom line is that the show always manages to make kids feel appreciated and allows them to have a good time. The hidden agenda doesn't really matter...oh how I miss being an oblivious and care free kid.
Again I am going to be previewing a movie in this entry. I previously wrote an entry on Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest stating that I loved the Pirate movies, which is very true. These are my favorite movies of all time bar none. This means that I am highly anticipating Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End.Once the third one comes out on DVD I will be searching hard to get the trilogy in one box set. If that makes me some kind of creepy Pirates of the Caribbean lover I don't care because the movies are that good.
This movie will bring back the all-star cast led by Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Keira Knightley. This film is about the extinction of the Pirates. Their enemies including Lord Becket and Davy Jones are teaming up to try and put and end to piracy. Even though these two men have very different motives, there is one thing they have in common and that is they want Jack Sparrow dead...
All the Pirates from the corners of the globe must come together in this film to save their way of life because it is under attack. This movie promises to be the best Pirates film yet with as much action and drama as ever.
I can't wait to see what cunning plots Jack will come up with in this movie. Also, I love his one liners and the sexual tension that exists between him and Miss Swan.
This movie premiers on May 25th and there is no way I don't see this movie on that very day. I will be one of many waiting in line, which will surely lead to the fact that this will be one of the highest grossing films of all time. I am fairly confident that it will pass the other two Pirate movies which will put it comfortably in the number 6 slot. If you want to check out the preview click the video below.
Artist: Various Artist
Album: Music and Lyrics
Genre: Soundtrack
Release Date: February 13th, 2007
who doesn't love hugh grant chick-flicks? love actually was brillant. about a boy, hilarious. and notting hill, while cheesy, not a bad date movie. music and lyrics is much the same, where grant stars opposite drew barrymore. anyways, a friend's gf gave me the soundtrack, so i figured i'd give it a whirl. music and lyrics' soundtrack is fun, showing off grant's own vocal capability along with barrymore's "girl-next-store" sing-along-ness. the soundtrack also includes (randomly) a song by swedish rocker, the teddybears and one by the sounds (also very swedish). the sounds are great, by the way, but i'll save that discussion for another post.
music and lyrics's most chick-flickish and radio friendly track is way back into love, where in the movie, hugh grant and drew barrymore appear to be singing of their own feelings. the soundtrack includes both the demo where barrymore sings and a studio version with haley bennett (who does the vocals in the video on this blog). bennett also does a fun take on britney spears' "toxic" in buddha's delight, a goofy pop track.
most soundtracks are not that good, with the exception of the first few the O.C. mixes, and music and lyrics is not spectacular itself. it's an interesting cd to have if you enjoyed the music or if you just want a few of the songs. unfortunately, iTunes only lets you buy the tracks by teddybears and the sounds individually. if you want the cute hugh grant/ drew barrymore duets, you'll need to buy the whole album.
The recently released movie 300 has caused quite a buzz around the movie industry. This movie is extremely violent yet artistic in its own right. The movie was shot entirely in front of a green screen using computer generated imagery (CGI). According to acclaimed movie critic Roeper this gives the movie a dreamlike feeling throughout. Furthermore, he states that if the movie wasn't done in CGI it would not have had the same affect and ultimately would not be as good of a movie.
300 is based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller. The film is a violent retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) and his massive Persian army. There determination and honor is so inspiring that it is said that for this reason the entire Greek nation united against the Persian army.
A problem that some people in our society are having with this film is that it is about war. The men from Sparta are extremely gung hoe about this battle and they seem to be willing to venture in to almost certain doom. People are linking this with the current situation of the United States. They are also liking the leader of the Spartans to George Bush because King Leonidas is so willing to fight. Well I think people need to just relax and realize movies are for entertainment. This is not a political movie and there is no political subplot to this film. So just watch this movie and enjoy the truly artistic work that it portrays.
I have yet to see this film but I most certainly will when I have the time. Roeper and Morgan give the film two thumbs way up. If you want to check out what they had to say click on their names. If you want to check out a preview look below.
Miss USA 2007, Rachel Smith, gets crowned by her predecessor, Tara Connor (AP)
Last night, the annual Miss USA, was held on NBC. While the network definitely milked the scandal surrounding Miss USA 2006, Tara Connor, to publicize this event, the actual pageant went pretty smoothly as per usual. 51 contestants from each state and the District of Columbia vied for the coveted Miss USA title and Mikomoto-designed crown. There was glitz, there was glamour, and of course, there were beautiful girls. Hosts Nancy O'Dell and Tim Vincent from Access Hollywood, comptently transitioned from one chereographed segment to the next. Miss Michigan made it to the round of 15, but unfortunately, the representative from my home state of Florida didn't even make the first cut. By the end of the night, Miss Tennessee, Rachel Smith, wowed the judges enough to win it all.
Unlike the Miss America pageant, the 51 Miss USA contestants did not have to showcase any talents. Which raises the question: Is Donald Trump's Miss USA pageant simply a beauty pageant with a Q&A round thrown in for good measure? It's true that Miss USA receives a scholarship for higher education purposes and does go around the globe advocating issues such as Breast Cancer Awareness, but after Tara Connor's drug use confession and stint in Rehab, I've become weary of the integrity of the Miss USA/Miss Universe organization. Their method of choosing the final candidate doesn't even seem legit. How can you feel 100% confident that the most qualified candidate earned the title when the final judges consisted of: Jerry Springer, "Blow Out" star Jonathan Antin, Baby Phat President Kimora Lee Simmons and Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss?!
It seems to me that the pageant is just looking to obtain high ratings using the following formula: Women + Bathing Suits + Semi-celebrities = Large viewing audience. At the end of the night, you don't hear people going, "Wow, I really liked Miss X because her stance on America's education system impressed me." Instead you hear, "I liked Miss Y because she had the best smile and her gown was AMAZING" or "Miss Z had the best legs and strut." The sad thing is, instead of the issues being emphasized, women continue to be objectified, perpetuating the stereotypes surrounding pageants that these organizations have tried to break free from.
Artist: Snow Patrol
Album: Eyes Open
Genre: Rock
Release Date: May 9th, 2006
two years after the love ballad/ anthem "run" was released off of their album final straw, snow patrol is back and better than ever with eyes open. lyrically intense, and musically powerful, eyes open is truly a beautiful album from the opening track "you are all that i have," through the closer "the finish line."
in snow patrol's chasing cars, snow patrol's lead singer gary lightbody shines through charmingly with, "if i just lay here, would you lay with me, and just forget the world?" snow patrol's maturity and emotion is best conveyed, however, through set fire to the third bar, one of my favorite tracks on eyes open. "set fire to the third bar features martha wainwright, the sister of canadian-american songwriter rufus wainwright.
beyond their europe appeal and emotesque lyrics, snow patrol's music has been featured on shows such as grey's anatomy. their evocative sound has lead them to produce hits such as "run," "hands open," and "chasing cars." this is definately one of my all time favorite albums and it is one you should have in your collection.
The first two sites are no brainers, so most of you are all probably wondering what could possibly make pinkisthenewblog such an important site. It's basically one of the most amusing Hollywood gossip blogs on the internet run by our very own Detroit native, Trent. He takes noteworthy celebrity news and reports it in such a hilarious way that you can't help but become a fan/addict. It's not just his witty remarks that reel you in, it's his delivery...you can't go wrong with pink font and photoshop, that's for sure.
Case in point: in his Sunday, March 18, 2007 entry, while reporting on Tom Cruise and Katie Holme's St. Patrick's Day celebrations, Trent takes a dig on Tom Cruise's craziness by commenting on the birth of his daughter. He takes a Dolce & Gobbana ad and alludes that Suri's birth was the product of laboratory work. It's sexy, funny, and thought provoking all at the same time.
Thus, whenever I'm feeling a little blue, whether it be from my latest exam grade or missing the beautiful Florida weather, I know that Trent's blog will make me crack a smile or go "What?! I can't believe celebrity x did that!" Leading up to the main subject of this blog entry...
Trent's Friday, March 16, 2007 entry mentions that the cast of Hairspray was at the ShoWest Convention in Las Vegas last Wednesday to begin promoting the movie.
Hairspray was actually originally produced in 1988, which then became a Broadway musical in 2002. The musical is still running at the Neil Simon Theatre in New York City. The latest Hollywood rendition, starring a vast array of notable actors/actrices including John Travolta, Michelle Pfieffer, and High School Musical's Zac Efron, is set to come out this summer. I absolutely can't wait because a) I love musicals b) the movie's already getting some good early reviews c) Zac Efron is super cool (yes, I admit it, I am a HS Musical fan) d) John Travolta plays a WOMAN. Who doesn't want to see that?
Putting musicals onto the big screen - releasing movies with singing in general - has been a recent noticeable trend in Hollywood. There have been some big hits (Dreamgirls, Ray, Chicago) and there have been some disappointing misses (Rent, Phantom of the Opera). Regardless, transforming musicals into films is in a way taking steps in remembering old Hollywood where Frank Sinatra's crooning voice, Gene Kelly's mesmerizing stage presence, and Judy Garland's incredible talent made movies instant classics. It's also a great way of making today's young generation aware of what Broadway has to offer, helping them realize that musicals aren't just showtunes and large numbers. Instead of scoffing at the notion of going to a show, maybe they'll discover for themselves how rich and personally rewarding musical theatre can really be.
Alright, I'm going to change it up a little bit with these blog entry. This isn't going to be about a movie I've seen but instead I will talk about an upcoming summer release. The movie I am talking about is the much anticipated Ocean's Thirteen. It is the third movie in the Ocean's series following Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Twelve. Both great movies that I throughly enjoyed watching, which is why I am so excited for the new arrival. It is set to be released on June 8, 2007.
This movie is going to have the usual cast of big times actors such as George Clooney who plays Danny Ocean the ring leader of the group. Other big names are Brad Pitt who plays Rusty Ryan, Matt Damon who plays Linus Caldwell and the new character Willie Banks played by Al Pacino. This movie will be lacking Catherine Zeta-Jones and Julia Roberts. According to Warner Bros. this happened because they couldn't not fit two high powered actresses into this script.
Ocean's Thirteen brings the group back to Vegas after casino owner Willy Banks double-crosses one of the original eleven. Instead of just trying to rob the casino they are going to attempt to get even. The difference in this movie and the others is that they don't care if they get rich, they just want Willy Banks' casino to go under. Similar to the first movie Ocean's Thirteen will be set in Vegas and it is unlike the second movie which was set in Europe. Movies about crooks aren't usually mainstream hits like the Ocean series, but the fact that these crooks are so smart and cunning you can't help but want to see if they can actually succeed.
The reason I want to see this movie so bad is because I can't wait to see what gadgets they will use to complete there mission. I also love watching how they skillfully plan their attack with such precision and accuracy. It is also such a rush to watch this movie because you know they are getting away with things that no normal person could ever do in reality.
If you are unsure about seeing this movie you should check out the trailer below, and if that doesn't get you motivated I don't know what will.
Artist: Fall Out Boy
Album: Infinity on High
Genre: Rock/Pop
Release Date: February 6th, 2007
pop rock/ catchy songers fall out boy are back with another album, infinity on high. the follow up to from under the cork tree, the new album is a totally different sound as they experiment with r&b producers. of the new influeces are def jam prez jay-z who produced "thriller," and kenneth "babyface" edmonds produces groove-heavy hits and "thnks fr th mmrs" (one of my fav songs on the album) and "this ain't a scene, it's an arms race."
fall out boy's crazy new sound is exemplified in this ain't a scene, it's an arms race. fall out boy even jokes about the criticism it might receive from departing from their totally emo/punk/pop roots in the video as they walk from a boring white person party and perform in a more urban environment... where they convince them of fall out boy's sweetness.
if fall out boy's catchiness does not get you, how about the sweet song titles? you can thank bassist pete wentz for such lyrics wonders as "i'm like a lawyer with the way i'm always trying to get you off" and "fame < infamy." also, if you didnt know wentz owns his own clothing company, clandestine clothing. if you're not into the new fall out boy sound, but you dig emotesque style, you should check clandestine out.
hot trax:
i'm like a lawyer with the way i'm always trying to get you off
While sitting at home over spring break my brother told me about a great new movie he recently purchased, The Prestige. I asked him what he thought of the movie and he said it would be worth my time to check it out, so I took him up on the offer.
The movie is set at the turn of the century 1890-1900. Which personally is one of my favorite settings. All the old costumes and they way life was back in that time is truly fascinating to me, but I digress. The movie is about two rival magicians who are engaged in a never ending battle for supremacy as the best magician in the world. They started out as assistants for the same magician but after a tragic accident they went their separate ways. Alfred Borden (Christian Bale) was a much better magician than Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) but Angier had much better showmanship. Borden came up with the ultimate trick, "the transporting man." Angier could not for the life of him figure out how Borden did the trick. He went to great lengths to try and figure it out. He even went to America to see the great and sometimes insane Tesla. Eventually Tesla created a magnificent machine for Angier. From here you absolutely must watch the movie for the incredible twist that comes at the end.
This movie is wonderfully written and acted. There were certain times during the movie that I got chills and I had to sit up in my bed and think about what had just happened. The entire movie had me wanting more and more until the end. When bang. It is one of the best I have ever seen. I never saw it coming. I have read many reviews about this movie and a number of them say that the ending is too easy to figure out but I say they are wrong. Plus I never really wanted to ruin the movie by trying to figure out the ending before it occurred. Regardless, this is a must see movie for everyone. It keeps you on the edge of your seat at all times.
Money, Money, Money ... Nikki on the Donald and those Google Boys
As you all can probably guess, I'm pretty much a celebrity gossip hound. I love finding out juicy inside stories about our favorite stars in Hollywood, which is why I am sooo thankful for the internet. Nowadays, reading the latest Hollywood gos is just a mouseclick away, and there are so many legitimate sites to choose from.
This week's internet surfing brought me to the Telepictures productions and AOL sponsored site, TMZ.com. According to its bio, it was "named one of the year's 50 coolest websites by Time magazine" and it's "one of the most-cited entertainment news sources, utilized by national network and local newsgathering organizations across the country" -- all for good reason. It's one of the most comprehensive entertainment sites out there, complete with pictures, videos, and news bits.

One particular article that caught my interest was about The Donald. Some think the guy's a genius, others cringe at the mention of his name (coughcoughRosiecoughcough). Regardless, TMZ.com reports that in Forbes magazine's recently released 2007 list of the World's Billionares, Trump is believed to have an estimated net worth of $2.9 Billion bucks. You know you're jealous, even if you think he's as cool as the hair style he's been sporting since the '80s. If you thought that's pretty impressive, it gets even better. It turns out that Google founders, Sergey Brin and our very own U of M alum, Larry Page, have a combined net worth 10x more than Mr. Trump's--and they're half his age (30)! Ouch, Wharton-educated Trump just got his butt kicked by young tech geeks, one of whom is a Wolverine. I hope the Donald's overinflated ego doesn't take too much of a bruising.
I know, I know. Google founders aren't celebrities and the Donald's just a wannabe celebrity, but I love Google and I know you all do too, and I was surprised that Brin and Page have amassed $16.6 billion individually ever since they started, what's in my opinion, the best search engine ever in '98. While that's no where near Bill Gates' $56 bil, it's definitely enough to buy a couple of private islands.
I guess what I got from this article is that Brin and Page's rise to success makes learning all this BIT stuff all the more important. Their tech knowledge has given them positive media attention, and more importantly, has put them in the company of the richest of the rich.
Artist: Taylor Swift
Album: Taylor Swift
Genre: Country/ Pop
Release Date: October 24th, 2006
i'm not gonna lie. i used to love country music. growing up in ford country usa aka dearborn, michigan, as a child i loved coutry music. after moving i out grew it, however here at u of m, it's come back to me. now i came across taylor swift while surfing the tube and finding a beautiful girl on gac who actually had a pretty good voice.
needless to say, after watching the video for teardrops on my guitar, i went out and bought her album. tear drops on my guitar is actually the second single off taylor's self titled debut, following tim mcgraw.
taylor's a southern belle with a voice to match her beauty. the album is deep and i found myself listening through the entire thing without having to skip songs. at only 16 years old, taylor's lyrics and subject matter is very easy to relate to as her fascination with love is obvious. more impressively, taylor wrote or co-wrote each of the album tracks. taylor will remind you of the first time you fell in love and also the first time you had your heart broken. her voice conveys the delicate feelings that go with simply growing up and chasing love and will have you listening again and again.
The newly crowned best motion picture, The Departed, is a fantastic movie with an all-star cast. It brings the greats Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Wahlberg, Alec Baldwin, and Martin Sheen together in one great Martin Scorsese gangster movie. I have to admit that this is my first Scorsese film and he truly impressed me with his cinematic touch. The Departed also won three other Oscars giving it a total of four.
The film is about two organizations mainly. The Irish mob and the Massachusetts State Police Department. Mob boss Frank Castello (Jack Nicholson) finds Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon) as a young boy and breeds him to become one of his men. Castello recognizes that Colin is a smart lad from the very beginning. Colin Sullivan ends up working on the inside as a State Trooper. His main job is to tip off Castello when the heat begins to bare down on him.
On the other end of the specturm Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a honest, hardworking cadet who has worked his way through the ranks. The Captain (Martin Sheen) and his second in command (Mark Wahlberg) decide to make Billy an undercover cop. Costigan gains the trust of Castello and eventually becomes a crony.
One main irony of the movie is the fact that Costigan is medaling with Sullivan's girlfriend (Vera Farmiga). Neither of the men know each other but each of them is sleeping with the same woman and I found that to be a very intriguing part of the movie.
Both sides realize that there is a rat amongst them and this leads to much drama because they cannot figure out who the rat is. Both sides put forth much effort to figure it out but it is all to no avail. Sullivan almost gets caught by Costigan a few times but it never really comes to closure until the very end.
This movie has suspense throughout and it is a must see. After you watch the movie you will immediately see why it was named Best Picture at the Oscars. This title was long overdue for Marty Scorsese and it was truly wonderful to see him receive the honor.
Last Sunday, February 25th, the 79th Annual Academy Awards - more commonly known as the Oscars - were held on ABC. Honoring the best in Motion Pictures, this year's Oscar's were hosted by comedian and talk show host extraordinaire, Ellen DeGeneres. The end of the Oscars means the end of the movie awards season, which kicked off with the Golden Globes last January. Time for all the celebs to forget about stressing over dresses, tuxes, and acceptance speeches and start refocusing their energy on entertaining the masses with films.
In the past, I've always been one of those people with eyes glued to the television set as early as 6 pm watching the Red Carpet arrivals. Beautiful dresses, hunky men in tuxedos, gorgeous stars...what more could a girl ask for? Unfortunately, this year I missed about 95% of the telecast. Blame it on Spring Break.
I'm sad I didn't get to see the arrivals live, but thanks to the awesome power of the internet, I still get to catch all the fashion hits and misses, the show's highs and lows, without spending the usual 4+ hours of my time. One of the best places to get the low-down on everything Oscars is E!Online. Not only one of the premier entertainment television channels, E! is also one of the premier entertainment websites. Their Oscar Coverage is tough to beat. They have scoop on all the A-list celebs, Best & Worst moments, Oscar after parties, Red Carpet clips and more. Personally, after browsing through the "Fashion Police" pics, I thought that Best Actor nominee Leonardo DiCaprio was the most dashing dude. Sigh...I guess I'll never get over my mini crush on Leo. Reese Witherspoon, last year's winner for Best Actress, stole the Red Carpet spotlight with her purple tiered dress by Nina Ricci.
Leonardo DiCaprio Reese Witherspoon
Jennifer Hudson certainly thrilled audiences with her booming voice and inspiring performance in Dreamgirls, but the same can't be said of her choice of gown by Oscar de la Renta. The jacket - a gold python bolero - that she's wearing sort of has that space-age vibe thing going around the shoulders and it doesn't compliment her figure. Not to mention the pockets...
Jennifer Hudson
As for the actual ceremony, I'm glad Ellen DeGeneres hosted it. I love her talk show and her sense of humor. She always seems to put other celebrities at ease. The Academy is smart in choosing comedians to host the show (previous hosts include Jon Stewart, Chris Rock, Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg, and Steve Martin) because otherwise the actual telecast would be as amusing as watching someone floss their teeth.
It's intersting that this year's Best Actor and Actress, Forest Whitaker as Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland and Helen Mirren for her role as Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen, are both actors that the general public isn't very aware of. By earning these Oscars, their work on screen has been validated, but it doesn't necessarily earn them the hearts of movie goers nationwide; raising the question of how much more star power does an actor really get after obtaining a coveted Oscar. Actors like Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt rake in millions more per picture and are hounded by photographers everyday; however, they have yet to win an Academy Award. Whereas winners like Hilary Swank, who's nabbed an Oscar twice, isn't constantly chased by fans for a picture. Although I'm sure Forest Whitaker and Helen Mirren deserved their awards, it still doesn't make me less dissapointed that one of the actors or actresses that I enjoy watching didn't win.
Overall, it's nice to see all these actors and actresses congregate for a single event. Now that movie awards season has come to a close, I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for future Oscar-worthy performances.

you like justin timberlake? you'll love nelly furtado. loose is nelly furtado's latest album and a departure from her folky roots. i actually bought her first album, whoa nelly! when it came out in march of 2001. loose has tight beats and infectious vocals. furtado's first single, "promiscuous," is produced by and features musically genious timbaland. if you didn't know, timbaland is the man behind justin timberlake's futuresex/lovesounds, which is also a hype album.
anyways, loose features a bunch of guests artist such as juanes ("te busque"), chris martin of coldplay ("all good things") and of course timbaland.
nelly's latest single off of loose is say it right. it is one of the tracks that better showcases her vocal talent, along with "in God's hands."
while nelly's venture away from folk music maybe turn away her fans from the begining, her she embraces new style very well and it shows. loose is a hot album and is definately worth a listen.
This is a fantastic movie presented by the wonderful Walt Disney Company. They never seem to disappoint. Dead Man's Chest is a star studded cast that gets together for the second movie in the Pirates trilogy.
The movie begins with Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) once again escaping a seemingly inescapable situation to meet up with his crew. We come to find out that Jack made a deal with Davy Jones a long time ago in order to become captain of the Black Pearl. He must find away out of the predicament or he will be under Davy Jones' servitude on the Flying Dutchmen forever.
Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swan (Keira Knightley) are ready to be married when the movie begins, but the ceremony is stopped when the couple is arrested. They were to be hanged for aiding Captain Jack Sparrow's escape in the first movie. Once Will meets up with Jack, Jack tricks him into settling his debt, which only angers Davy Jones. Throughout the movie the crew is searching for the Dead Man's Chest, which ironically is a chest holding Davy Jones' still beating heart.
This movie is wonderfully directed and acted. It is one of my favorite repeat watches. I waited in line for two hours to see this movie because I knew it would be that good. Johnny Depp is great as Captain Jack Sparrow. He is funny, witty, and not to mention there are a few good sword fight scenes. Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightley are great complements to Depp in the movie. This movie has a lot to offer the entire family. It is full of action, comedy, and there is even a little sexual tension between Captain Sparrow and Ms. Swann. The onl knock is that this movie at times seemed like a 2 hour trailer for the third movie, which leaves me in great anticipation for the arrival of Pirates of the Caribbean, At Worlds End.
Brad and Angie are at it again: adoption numero 3!
Nikki dishes on Brad and Angie's Growing
Fam
JustJared.com, another one of my favorite celebrity sites, has recently spread word on US Weekly magazine's latest scoop: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are in the midst of adopting another child! Just weeks after the death of Angelina's mother, Marcheline Bertrand, Angelina and Brad have begun the process of adopting a little boy from Vietnam. Angelina's actions seem to indicate that expanding the Brangelina Brood is another way to help her cope.
This is going to be one huge diverse beautiful family. Me = very jealous of their little kids. If Brad Pitt was my dad, I'd be the first kid to raise my hand to volunteer my parent for career day. On second thought, maybe I wouldn't want Brad to be my dad because if he was my dad, my innocent crush on him would be considered incestuous and that's just plain wrong. Regardless, those kids (and Angelina too) are luccccccky. They get to ride with him on his motorcycle. Sexy guy + good leather + Harley = an ultimate fantasy.
I know there are some Angelina Jolie haters out there, especially after the controversy with Jennifer Aniston, but do you really have to hate on a person who's been such a great role model as a UN Ambassador? She's taken her role seriously and has made a strong effort to bring the plight of refugees to the forefront. OK, I have to admit, Angelina freaked me out when she was married to Billy Bob and had a vial of his blood around her neck; but this is a different Angelina, an Angelina who's admitted that her son, Maddox, has saved her from her self-destructive ways. We shouldn't judge her for something no one besides Angelina, Brad, and Jennifer completely know about. Instead, we should look at the issues she stands for and the work she's done. She doesn't talk bull. She doesn't focus on the glitz and glammer of Hollywood. Instead, she tries to make her kids globally conscious, donates a portion of her income to third-world causes, and on the side makes a few movies. She follows through with what she says. Personally, I find nothing wrong with that.
this post i'm going to do something new. instead of reviewing an album from a signed artist, which most likely is already known publically, i want to spread some hype about a local act who is extremely talented and even more good-looking. a recent high school grad, Alex Winston picked the guitar and started taking opera lessons around age 10. starting at such a young age, she's developed quite the musical talent. More importantly, she's spent the better half of this year working on some new music with Drew and Chris Peters at 40 oz Sound in Ann Arbor. these are the same guys that wrote the Black Eyed Peas hit "Don't Lie" with Fergie!
anyways, i first heard of Alex back in high school as she went to another local high school at which one of my better friends attended. A year or so later she had an EP for sale, titled Nameless Face," so i bought one. The EP had 7 tracks, of which my favorite was "Overboard." it was my favorite most likely because of its emo-tesque lyrics: "i jumped overboard/ feel the water rising to my neck/ and you know that's what i love best."
Recently, Alex released a video for Everything You Wanted directed by TheTriumvirate.com with a cameo by Dick Valentine of the Electric Six.
whether you know this or not, Alex has come a long way from the 7 track EP i purchased in high school. she has matured vocally and musically and has even performed as an opening act for ted nugent. Key an eye on this up and coming artist, she's hot (literally and musically)!!!!!!!
Walk the Line is an excellent, moving film. It touches the heart and soul. Joaquin Phoenix gives an amazing performance and co-star Reese Witherspoon delivers as well. This movie chronicles the trials and tribulations of the legendary Johnny Cash. This movie sparked my love for his music.
The movie begins with Johnny (Joaquin Phoenix) as a young boy in rural U.S.A. It explains the death of his brother Jack and sets up the relationship he has with his father. Johnny cannot wait to leave this place and when the opportunity comes to join the Air Force he takes it. While in Germany he begins to play the guitar and falls in love with music. Upon his return he tries to hit it back and starts to tour with the likes of Elvis Presley. He then meets June Carter (Reese Witherspoon) and immediately falls in love. Johnny becomes very involved with drugs and needs June there to pull him out. Throughout the movie you see that many of his songs are from life experiences he has.
This movie is a must see for all fans of Johnny Cash. Even if you aren't a fan of Cash you should see this movie. I wasn't a fan before I watched but once the movie was over I couldn't get enough Johnny Cash. I even went out and bought his greatest hits CD.
Over the weekend, Daniel Radcliffe, most famous for his portrayal as the beloved Harry Potter, officially shed his innocent boy persona as previews for Peter Shaffer's play, Equus, began previews in London's West End.
If any of you have ever heard of the play, you know it's one of the most bizarre thought provoking plays to hit the stage. Equus is a psychological tale about a teenage boy, Alan Strang, who's passionate about horses. One day, this fascination inexplicably causes him to blind six horses using a hoof pick. It becomes the task of psychiatrist Martin Dysart to uncover the reasoning behind Strang's actions.
I was actually able to catch the play last year at the Frieze building. Complete with nudity, it definitely isn't for the faint of heart, making Daniel Radcliffe's lead in the play all the more interesting. He goes from adored boy wizard to obsessed nude horse boy. I guess he really wants to avoid being type casted and show the world his real stuff, no pun intended. From what early reviews are saying, he made the right choice.
I just hope that all the teeny boppers out there (and their Moms for that matter) don't see this turning point in Daniel's career as something to be offended about. Being a little daring in the name of art isn't something people should frown upon. Besides, wouldn't you want to know what Harry's hiding beneath that black robe?
i won't lie. When I was a prepubescent teenager i had a mad crush on Miss Britney Spears (who is now bald). That meant that i had a passionate dislike for all the dudes in boybands (mainly because they were the ones chilling with Brit Brit). Anyways, i never really like Nsync or Justin Timberlake, so i was skeptical of his lastest solo work. However FutureSex/LoveSounds is a awesome album. First off, FS/LS was produced by Timbaland meaning the cd is full of sick beats and JT's smooth and sensual (yes i said that) voice.
The first single of the disc, "SexyBack" is a great dance track. Wait, what am i talking about? The WHOLE cd is a great dance album. "My Love" the second single is a hot track as well, and the My Love Video even more appealing. Justin's latest video is even more ridiculous (as in ridiculously good). For this video, What Goes Around.../...Comes Around Video, Justin has enlisted the danish/polish hottie Scarlett Johansson as JT's tricky lover. A nine minute long mini-movie, What Goes Around.../Comes Around is a simply another work of art.
Justin has come a long way since Nsync and this album proves it. FutureSex/LoveSounds hits all the right spots and is as satisfying as a warm bed on a cold winter morning. JustinTimberlake/SuperSweet.
I'm sure a lot of people have seen this movie, and I'm also sure that a lot of people didn't like it, but personally it is one of my favorites. I was even willing to spend some of my Christmas cash on purchasing it.
Into the Blue is about a group of divers who come across a plane wreck at the bottom of the ocean. Much to their surprise the plane was loaded with drugs. They continue searching for a sunken ship, the Zephyr, and pay no attention to the drugs. Eventually funds run low so Bryce (Sean Caan) grabs some of the drugs. This gets the group mixed up with some drug lords. They are instructed by the drug lords to retrieve the rest of the cargo from the bottom of the ocean and things start to spiral from there.
The movie has everything that you want. It has action, drama, sparkling blue Caribbean water, and most importantly, Jessica Alba in a bikini. Paul Walker takes his hard ass inter-city character from Fast and the Furious and transfers it nicely to the tropical hard ass he plays in Into the Blue. The stunning Jessica Alba delivers a great performance in which she acts as the concerned girlfriend who doesn't want to break the law. Scott Caan plays the comic relief in the movie and I found him to be a great complement to Walker. All in all this is a great movie. I watched it with my best friend when it first came out on DVD and at the conclusion we proclaimed that we wanted to be treasure divers in the Bahamas. How many movies have that affect on you?
As many of you now probably know, Britney Spears did the unthinkable last Friday night. She shaved her head (picture courtesy of one of my favorite entertainment news websites, accesshollywood.com)!
Nationally televised news media outlets, even CNN, reported the event and it's been all over the internet since Friday night. While the news is indeed shocking, people can't help but notice Britney's been on a reckless path to self destruction. And predictably, who's always there to capture one small mistep? The notorious paparazzi.
While I don't condone Britney's behavior, I feel that the paparazzi and Britney's high profile as an entertainer have been large contributors to her actions. Ever since she emerged as a star with her popular Karaoke hit, "...Baby One More Time," all eyes have been on her. That kind of media scrutiny can do a lot of damage to a person's psyche. Maybe, by cutting her hair she's making an attempt at "liberating" herself from all her baggage. Or maybe it was an act of rebellion to all those critics and malacious paparazzi that mercilessly follow her wherever she goes. Yes, Britney did sign away her privacy when she decided to become a singer, but do we really have to follow her every little move, every gas fill-up, every bathroom break? We need to remember that, yes, she is a celebrity, but more importantly, she's a person who makes mistakes, however stupid or crazy. Just like the rest of us.
Oh, and according to Grayson, "ps - dont ever shave your head."
While wandering the isles of one of my favorite retailers, Target, I stopped to look at what I call the "rack of inexpensive emerging artists cds." Looking through the random rows of assorted albums my eyes caught a familiar name, Secondhand Serenade. I had originally discovered SS when browsing Purevolume.com, a site that features undiscovered or up and coming bands and artists.
What struck me most about Secondhand Serenade was its solo artist, John Vesely, close resemblence to the first Dashboard Confessional album, The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most. Vesely's superior vocal range, mind blowing sense of harmony and heart wrenching lyrics contribute to a especially warm and deep album. The rawness of just acoustic guitar give Awake 12 fantastic tracks.
The video for "Vunerable," a fan favorite, will be shot with Frank Borin (director for Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Eminem) sometime soon. Secondhand Serenade will also give fans the opportunity to catch him live as he tours the country. Vesely will also head back to the studio again soon, to punch out another release, which is being planned for later this year.
This is my first post for movies on this wonderful blog of ours. I will be posting movie reviews mainly, but I find it necessary to start my blogging career with the ultimate movie website.
The internet movie database (IMDb) is a wonderful site with information on actors, movies, and upcoming DVD releases. There have been many times when I've been curious as to what movies a certain actor has been in; lost for the solution, I remember the answer is only a click away. All I have to do is type in IMDb.com, put the actor's name in the search, and bam I have the actor's entire career right in front of me. The website will even give me biographical information. It is truly wonderful. Furthermore, for you avid BOMB players, this site is a great way to check if your opponent is telling the truth when he decides to take the abstract route and name actors and movies that no one has ever heard of.
I will end this blog by saying that in my movie reviews I will be rating each movie on the typical grade scale of A being the best and E being a movie that I feel no one should ever pay money to see.
As previously mentioned by the spectacular Grayson, our group's goal for this blog is to report to you, humble web surfers, the latest and greatest entertainment news; basically, our thoughts on some of our favorite movies, hottest music, and latest gossip. Why not information technology, you say? Well, as much as we love learning about spreadsheets and html, we feel that celebrity gossip and music/movie reviews are something that we're more familiar with and more knowledgeable about. So sit back, relax, and enjoy our opinions on the crazy entertainment industry.
