Welcome
Has anyone ever seen an Asian drama/soap opera? Well, I guess that not many of you, if not all of you, have watched one. Nonetheless, I decided to talk about a Korean drama which was ever so popular during the summer of 2007. It did not only bring huge profit to the broadcast company, but it also influenced the Korean culture in so many ways (fashion, coffee culture, etc).
The drama is called "The Coffee Prince 1st Store." It features a cute guy named "Gong-you" who has all the characteristics of a guy that would make many of the Korean girls fall in love. The story is mainly about the love story within the coffee store, but it also shows how a well-educated man of 29 years old successfully triples the profit of the store through various business strategy.
So, for the following blogs that I am going to write, I will briefly talk about various aspects of this drama and show how it influenced the Korean culture in many areas. Even if you have absolutely no idea about Korea (maybe except for the news regarding North Korea), it might be interesting for you to see how one drama program has influenced so many areas in business and actually created many new jobs in the Korean market.
