I should have been an actress.
I tell people that I’m ok
And they believe me
I tell people that I’m
Happy this way
And they seem to agree
That I’m doing alright
As long as I keep
The tears out of sight
As long as I deny
I’d ever want more
From anyone
Ever again.
I tell people
I don’t need a thing
And I really don’t
except for maybe
someone to disbelieve me.
