One team member been trying to raise her $160.00 through donations. She anticpates she will need some financial help to reach the requested missionary commitment. I contact the GITC Dave McCormick Memorial Scholarship Fund Chairperson, and receive a near-immediate reply.

9/20 from GITC Scholarship Chair:

Regarding the $50.00 scholarship funds request for October 2009 GITC team member, yep funds are available.

It would be helpful if the recipient could write a quick letter that explains why they want to go on the trip, as well as how the money that they are getting will allow them to be able to go.

If they have a church family, we would like to know that as well. We will contact their church and be sure that they are supporting them and their mission efforts.

The recipient will also be asked to write a letter thanking the scholarship fund for their support, upon their safe return.

Please let the recipient know that this is a once in a lifetime gift, and they will not be able to use the scholarship again.
