At the start of the meeting, I introduced myself as a first time leader, with 4 mission trips under my belt. I've been to Louisiana three times, and made one trip closer to home to Wisconsin.

I head home wondering why some of these people would follow me - an unknown - into an unknown situation. I readily recognize I have the firm support of an experienced organization behind me. I think about the fact that I have already traveled with six of the team's combined members.

I recognize that I am merely the vehicle making GOD's work a reality for those who have felt called, or pushed, or driven to make a difference in this world.

I'm pretty happy about that. I'm way more comfortable than I thought I would be.
To combat the complacency, I renew my efforts to resolve all potential issues.
I begin to worry about the details, and decide I like that part, too.
