sounds of construction voices,
reverse warning beeps,
traffic, rustling breezes,
birds and katydids, giving advice,
sounds of life
so different from 3 years ago,
or 2 years ago, or even last year.
For some, this is
their version of awful – but handle-able,
for me, this is
a happier ending
even though we are just beginning.
