Hold up, What am I here for again?
Always wonderful at completing tasks, not necessarily within the appropriate time frame, I figured it would be good to make some sort of attempt at framing what I am investigating with this blog. I am going to try and explore the narrative possibilities of a blog. I think that I have a story to tell and that this will be a good format for it.
I will be unfolding the story here as it unfolds for myself which makes me a little bit fearful. This will be an interesting exploration because it doesn't leave large opportunities for revision and what is written early will either be a very permanent type of boundary or it will have to be contradicted. It is as if I am putting stakes in the ground and trying to create a straight line but with this format, you can't remove a stake after it has been placed so the line will necessarily follow the trajectory of the first two. Maybe.
I may decide that a straightline isn't the bestline and will have the characters run at crosspurposes.
One possibility that will also be interesting will be the creation of internet accounts for the characters in the story. They may have youtube accounts or myspaces or whatever it is that the kids are doing these days. I'm not really sure how this will play out but it could be a lot of fun.
That means that all future blog posts will be in character!! WOOT! I will try to find a way to weave in class responses into the narrative and then present them as a character in the story would think. Character's responses could be in the form of a type of blog post, or a link to another site. I'm not really sure yet, how dynamic of me.

Wonderful exploration.
It will be interesting to see how many friends your characters get at the various social networking sites.
The opportunities for bifurcating within the unfolding lives, unfolding system of the social networking sites --job offers, publications --these manufactured lives go becomes wonderfully entangled with other forms of realties inside and outside cyber parameters.
All my other comments will be as Margaret.
Look for her at your character sites --throughout the summer, and beyond if you like.
Just an absolutely wonderful experiment! the most forky project yet!
