Why wouldn't worship be an act of creation?
There's a band out there called Isaachar. You can see them at myspace.com/isaachar. They were part of the crowd in that restaurant from before. Ryan Koli is the tall one that the waitress mentions. he just posted a blog on the myspace that seemed really interesting to me in relation to what we discussed in class the other night.
Check them out.

An Adventure in Storytelling
So here it begins.

Hold up, What am I here for again?
Always wonderful at completing tasks, not necessarily within the appropriate time frame, I figured it would be good to make some sort of attempt at framing what I am investigating with this blog. I am going to try and explore the narrative possibilities of a blog. I think that I have a story to tell and that this will be a good format for it.
I will be unfolding the story here as it unfolds for myself which makes me a little bit fearful. This will be an interesting exploration because it doesn't leave large opportunities for revision and what is written early will either be a very permanent type of boundary or it will have to be contradicted. It is as if I am putting stakes in the ground and trying to create a straight line but with this format, you can't remove a stake after it has been placed so the line will necessarily follow the trajectory of the first two. Maybe.
I may decide that a straightline isn't the bestline and will have the characters run at crosspurposes.
One possibility that will also be interesting will be the creation of internet accounts for the characters in the story. They may have youtube accounts or myspaces or whatever it is that the kids are doing these days. I'm not really sure how this will play out but it could be a lot of fun.
That means that all future blog posts will be in character!! WOOT! I will try to find a way to weave in class responses into the narrative and then present them as a character in the story would think. Character's responses could be in the form of a type of blog post, or a link to another site. I'm not really sure yet, how dynamic of me.

I'm ready to escape said the mardi gras beads
I want to take a moment/an entry to inspect the table on which the beads rested. They weren't completely able to frame both of the strands. One of the golden beads leaned out over the edge. An intrepid mountaineer, strayed too far from safety and only saved from a most certain and painful doom by the permanent hand clasps of his fellow travelers. A simple nudge from some god-like finger would have ruined the constancy of the table's support.
The table was well rounded and pushing that one bead from its place may have led to the whole system being reconfigured on the floor. Had the table been straight, the bead could have been moved without consequence because the collective friction of the strand would have been enough to resist gravity's pull on the bead as the two forces would have been pulling in opposite and parallel directions. However, because of the curve of the table, the falling beads would begin pulling at angles that would approach perpendicularity to the strand. No longer having the collective resistance that they would have when the forces were opposite and parallel, the strand's permanent hand clasp would now lead to its down fall. Like a tug-of-war with someone pulling the wrong direction.
