Another Great Grey's Anatomy

Another Fabulous Grey's Anatomy Episode

"Grey's Anatomy" continued the George, Izzie, and Callie love triangle. The episode added a new twist to the scandal because while Izzie remembered the night before's escapades perfectly, George had no recollection due to his obscene alcohol consumption. Izzie struggled through most of the episode trying to decide whether or not to tell George. However, her decision to not tell him backfires when George suddenly remembers the night and becomes furious with Izzie. This debacle leaves the viewer wondering if Izzie and George's friendship will last?

Ironically, the fact that George is distraught over the Izzie situation causes him to be a hero in Callie's eyes. Her father has come to visit and wants to pay for the newlyweds' house and car. However, George is so high strung over his adulturous revelation, he stands up to her dad and tells him that he will not pay for anything. Callie admires George because no one has ever stood up to her mean-spirited father. This adoration contributes to George's decision to not tell Callie about his one-night stand with Izzie. Will she find out? I hope not!

The other exciting storyline involves Meredith and Derek. Dr. Sloane, Derek's arch-enemy, has offered to let Meredith do a very rare and difficult surgery. Derek suspects (rightfully) that Sloane only offered Meredith this task so that he would be picked to be the new Chief. What a scumbag! If Meredith fails, then Sloane will come to the rescue and look like a hero. If she succeeds, he will look like a great and supportive teacher. What a conniving jerk!

This Week in College Sports- Week 7

THE FINAL FOUR PREVIEW!!!!!!

MATCH UP #1

#1 Florida

VS

#2 UCLA

Prediction: I believe that Florida has too much talent in all positions. They will be a lot to handle for UCLA. Their talented guards in Brewer and Humphrey will push the ball in transition and hit threes when needed. Not to mention, their all star front court in Noah and Horford. Florida is on a mission and although UCLA has tough defense and a game breaker player in Afflalo, it will be tough to beat the Gators in this one.

MATCH UP #2

#1 Ohio State

VS

#2 Georgetown

Prediction: This is going to be one of the best games of the tournament. These teams match-up well on both sides of the ball. I personally believe that if any team is going to stop Ohio State it is going to be Georgetown. They have tremendous size and power down low with Hibbert, to match up with the monster of a boy, Oden. They also have a incredibly talented and athletic forward in Green that could cause match-up problems for the quick, but small guards of Ohio State. However, I think the x-factor is going to be Conley Jr. the freshman from Ohio State. If he shows up and puts up good numbers that could be the difference. My pick: Ohio State in a close one.

Desperate Housewives Week 7

What is with all the Repeats?

For some reason Desperate Housewives has been a repeat for the past two weeks. I think that they are trying to spread out the new episodes since Marcia Cross is pregnant. So, I will now turn to the teenagers of Wisteria Lane for some juicy gossip.

Teen Pregnancy?!?!

As I discussed in earlier entries, Bree's daughter Danielle is pregnant. The father is Austin, Edy's nephew and Julie's boyfriend. Austin had cheated on Julie with Danielle, but realized that he actually loved Julie. Austin finally wins back Julie, by professing his feelings in a letter. Then he finds out that Danielle is pregnant! Personally I don't think that the baby is even Austin's. Danielle is probably sleeping around with a bunch of people.

^Danielle

Danielle wants to keep the baby, even though her family and friends are against it. Orson decides that they will send away Danielle until she has the baby and it is adopted. He doesn't want anyone on Wisteria lane to know that his teenage step-daughter is having a baby out of wedlock. They tell Austin he must leave town immediately. Poor Austin, he's to hot to leave Wisteria Lane!

Austin

^Austin

The problem is Austin does not want to leave because he loves Julie. He cannot tell her why he is leaving either, and she ends up in tears. Austin was the first thing that Julie took a chance on and her heart got broken twice. Poor Julie, she is so sheltered, and doesn't understand the world around her. If only she knew what what up Austin's sleeve (Or in Danielle's belly for that matter).

Julie

^Julie

Oddly enough, Bree's son Andrew, who had a major role in last season, is now the golden child. While he is gay, Bree does not seem to care anymore. He works for the Scavos at the Pizza Parlor and even saved his moms life when she was sick. He is such a cutie, but the bad boy image suits him better than the angel son. Maybe we will see something about him in future episodes, being bad like usual.

^Andrew

Grey's Anatomy is Back!

Grey's Anatomy is Back and Better than Ever

Last Thursday's "Grey's Anatomy" was absolutely fabulous! I was very happy to see the show return to it's roots after two weeks of bad episodes.

The drama began with a visiting Doctor who is a professeur at Stanford. The Doctor, Carlin Marlow, is a competitor for Head Chief and also the Ex-Boyfriend of Christina. This makes Preston Burke, a competitor for Head Chief and Christina's finace, nervous. The episode ends with a huge fight between Christina and Burke and leaves viewers wondering if their engagement is off.

The other major story line for this episode is also the better story line. We discover with George that his wife, Callie, is a heiress. In other words, she is loaded. When Izzie makes a comment to Callie about her wealth, Callie gets furious with George for sharing her personal information with Izzie. She then tells George that she thinks Izzie is in love with him. Unfortunately, George acts like an idiot and says that Izzie cannot love him because she's too attractive. This statement enrages Callie and causes her to throw him out of their hotel room. George goes to Meredith's house and drinks with Izzie. He tells Izzie about their fight and the episode ends with them in bed together!!! I am so excited to see how tonight's episode will turn out! Will Callie and George stay together? Will Izzie and George become lovers? Find out in my next blog!

24: 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

There is a leak in CTU.... and all evidence leads to Nadia (the hot CTU agent). With all the twists and subplots of 24 I am pretty sure that it is not her and she is being set up.

The new head of this CTU mission, Doyle, is a complete jerk. Him and Milo are butting heads but we are not exactly sure why???

Another thought relating to last season, Jack finds out that his love, Audrey, is dead.... She died looking for him in the Chinese prison. This gives Jack purpose back in finding these bombs and killing who is responsible!

After finding the leak, CTU finds where the pilot is. They are able to move the flying nuke and land it away from the original striking zone. Upon landing, some minimal radioactivity is detected. Daniels decides that this is enough to go on with his suggested attack, and Lennox is finally getting annoyed at him. We will see if Lennox ever stands up for himself and tells the truth.

This Vice President is on a power trip!!!

On a side note: If at anytime you are confused by the characters just press here

Posted by lmelea at 03:15 PM

24: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

BIG EVENT: Martha Logan (the old first lady) stabbed Charles Logan, all that pent up anger from last season comes out!!!

Even though she stabbed him she still completed the task that was needed of her. She talked to the Russian First Lady and got her to convince Suvarov (the russian President) to give the CTU permission to attack the Russian consulate. That means that getting Jack doesnt have to cause a full out war.

A few new people play a role in this episode. Vice President Daniels (I reallllly hate him) is threatening the Ambassador, saying that he is going to put a nuclear attack on his country if another nuke is set off!! This is completely manipulative because it is a terrorist attack and not an attack from the country. Daniels is also blaming the assassination attempt on Assad, and Lennox is just standing by (weak man)....

Now CTU finally knows the location of Gredenko and Fayed and they are ready to find them!!! This is where the show ends and the plot picks up.....!

This Week in College Sports- Week 6

First Bracket Buster of the Year Goes to....

WISCONSIN

In my opinion, Wisconsin, who was a #2 seed this year, had no business losing in the second round to UNLV. The one reason why they had no reason to lose is one name: Alando Tucker (shown above). Averaging almost 20 pts a game and receiving National Player of the Year Honors, Tucker should have carried his team to at least the Sweet 16. However, they got cold at the wrong time and it killed them come tournament time.

Wait that wasn't enough for you? How about Alando having a teammate in Kammron Taylor, that would put up 13 pts per game and can sometimes get hot and put up over 30 pts!
Is that enough evidence for you?

Desperate Housewives Week 6

Desperate Housewives...
The Show Fans are Desperate to See

Since the first season, Desperate Housewives has been a huge craze. I have seen the impace that these characters have had on all of my friends. Fans go insane over the show and the five main actresses. There is everything from Board Games to Computer Games to Memorabilia all marked with that signature red apple.

Apple

If you Google "Desperate Housewives", about 3,830,000 results are found. Some of my favorite links include:

Another Cool thing I found online happened to be on ABC's website. It is a personality test that tells you which character you are most like...Here's the link:

Which Housewife are you? Take the Quiz!

I got Susan when I took the quiz...the description was "You always mean well, but somehow things don't always work out as you'd planned. It doesn't matter. You take your tumbles with good grace and always come up smiling. But try to remember you're the grown-up in your family."

You can even buy Shirts to match your quiz personality!

This Week in College Sports- Week 5

"No Upsets!! No Problem!!

Well at least for some people

The rest of us who actually were smart and picked some upsets are suffering this year after a round 1 included almost no major upsets. No #3 seeds falling to #14 seeds! No #4 seeds falling to #12 seeds. In fact, besides Duke losing to Virginia Commonwealth and Winthrop beating Notre Dame, the only upsets were #9 seeds over #8 seeds. The first round was a bracketologists NIGHTMARE!

Duke is a traditional powerhouse, mostly known for teams that included superstars like Christian Laettner. Christian is seen here celebrating his magical game-winning shot. However, Duke has had the talent and the success in recent years that was seen in the 90s

However, in recent years they have nothing to show for it. Don't get my wrong, they have had great teams and an unbelievable history. In the past decade, they have made it to the sweet 16 nine straight times and even the final four a couple times. However, a team that recruits as well as Duke should not have such large gaps in between championships. In fact, with the talent they bring in every year they should win a championship at least every 5 years. Yet, instead of extending their streak to 10 straight Sweet 16s, they lost in the first round to VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH! The Blue Devils needs to get it together for next season so they don't lose their recruiting advantage and players start going to hot schools, like Florida, Texas, and OSU.

Grey's Scandal!

Grey's Anatomy On Set Scandal

Isaiah Washington, who plays the character Dr. Burke, called T.R. Knight, who plays George O'Malley, a homophobic slur on set at the beginning of this season. This outrageous insult has stirred rumors that Isaiah Washington will be fired from the show. It is really upsetting that Washington is such a jerk because he is amazing actor and adds a lot to the show. I would hate to see his character die off.

However, there is hope that Washington has reformed and will be allowed to stay a member of the cast. He went to counseling after he fired the slur at Knight and also met with gay activisits to discuss how to inform the public about the pain such language can inflict. I hope that his rehab stint and meeting with gay leaders will cure his homophobia and also allow him to stay on the show.

Read More on this Scandal Here!.

24: 4:00 p.m - 6:00 p.m.

The assassination attempt took place at right before 5 o'clock!! Lennox finally showed his good side and told on the two that had formed the assassination plan. Unfortunately, Palmer's VP decided he wanted to cover up the truth and blame the assassination attempt on Assad (government lies!!)

Where Jack is involved, he took Charles Logan to the Russian consulate so he can talk to Markov to inquire about Gredenko's whereabouts. Logan may actually be a good guy this season

After conversing, Logan decides that Markov is keeping something secret.
Jack (being the tough guy he is)decides to go back and torture Markov until he gets the information he wants.
We see Jack chop his finger with a cigar cutter!!
SO GRAPHIC!
By the time he finds out where Gredenko is he is taken into Russian custody. The conflict has now changed from Fayed to the Russian's, an even bigger plot! Jack gets a Russian to call CTU to tell them of Jack's findings, but before he says anything he is knocked out!!
HOW WILL CTU EVER FIND OUT!!!!

If you are utterly in love with Jack and 24 go to IMDB and find out quotes, trivia and more!!!

Desperate Housewives Week 5

"My Husband the Pig"

Rex, Bree's dead husband narrated the show for this week. It was an interesting change, from the normal Mary Alice because the whole episode was more in the guys perspective than the housewives' perspective. I don't like it as much, I enjoy Mary Alice and the symbolism she brings to the show. I also like her cliches.

Gabby gets hit on by a hot mayoral candidate.

He smashes into her car to get her information. After they go on a date, Gabby reveals that she knew his schemes. I love how she thinks that every one has a crush on her...and every one does! The mayoral candidate is infatuated with her though and proclaims he will marry Gabby. It's a story line, which leaves a lot of growth for the future, which is good because the mayor is very cute. Gabby is always being pursued by guys, however it will be interesting to see how she reacts to someone who is so rich and powerful in the community. Will she step up to the plate?

Carlos has a playdate of his own

Carlos, Gabby's ex-husband is a great character on the show because he a mix of a convict and a caring father. Carlos' parental instincts finally get the best of him in this episode, when he takes Edie's son Travis under his wing. Edie had left Travis home alone and he ended up wandering the streets. Travis and Carlos end up having a great night. However, when Edie shows up looking for Travis drunk, Carlos tells her that she needs to be a better mom. I think that he also realized that he wants to have kids soon.

This Week in College Sports- Week 4

March Madness Begins!

The #1 overall seed Florida Gators led by Joakim Noah, are primed and ready for a repeat title. The Gators, who returned all five starters from last years championship team, seem to have experience and talent to get the trophy a second year in a row.

Yet, can anyone stop them?

Ohio State is another #1 seed that certainly has a chance to stop the Gators title run in its tracks. Led by two talented freshman, Greg Oden and Mike Conley Jr. (shown above), they lack experience, but make up for it with pure talent. They had a strong year in the powerful Big 10 conference this year, however they did get blown out during the Gators in a regular season match-up. Can the Buckeyes get their act together and take away the title?

The Kansas Jayhawks are another talented #1 seed that has a chance to walk away NCAA champions. With three extremely talented guards in Brandon Rush,Julian Wright, and Mario Chalmers, this team has the ability to get up and down the floor quickly. They are fast and play good defense, however the past two years, talented Kansas teams have been kicked out in the early runs. Can this team quit that habit and turn their talent into GOLD!

DEFENSE DEFENSE DEFENSE!!! Georgetown Hoyas know defense. This very cohesive group includes stars like big, bad Roy Hibbert and the very athletic, high flying Jeff Green (shown above). Georgetown is only a #2 seed, but they got hot at the right time, coming into the tournament 16-1 in their last 17 games.

These seem to be the teams to beat, however who will step up and show their stuff?? Only time will tell who will survive March Madness and become

NCAA Champion!

Desperate Housewives Week 4

Wedding Bells on Wisteria Lane

Continuing with last weeks entry, Susan and Ian are

finally

engaged! I am actually really excited for this because it means that there will be more drama and also weddings are fun!

WL

When Ian's wife died, Susan and Ian knew that they would get married, but Ian was just waiting for the right time to propose. I think he chose the perfect time at the Scavo's Pizza Parlor opening to propose.

Ring

Ian got down on one knee in front of everyone, and of course Susan had food in her mouth, and was really akward as usual. She said yes though, and then the whole restaurant went estatic.

The funny thing about this episode is that creepy Zach thought it would be appropriate to propose to Gaby right after Ian's proposal. He thought that Gaby would be happy that he was being strong and assertive, but it was just weird!!! He is in high school and she is over 30! The whole scenerio is just creepy. It doesn't work as well as her and John, her old gardener.

I feel like the show the show needs more guys like John, with mischevious scandals, and hot bodies, instead of creepy Zach.

John john
