American Idol's Sanjaya
He seems to have the fans...
American Idol this season has been the same as its past five. While they are in search of the the 6th American Idol, there seems to be one person that gets a lot of press--Sanjaya. Now whether it be his cute boyish look that give him the fans, or because American thinks he has talent, he has remained on the show until now. However, his staying has been slightly controversial as many people wonder why and HOW even he is still on the show.
Perhaps his most recent escapade....the FauxHawk.
On last week's episode of American Idol, Sanjaya decided to sport a FauxHawk. He said that he was inspired by Gwen Stefani and felt that a fauxHawk would help him express his song better. While the audience did chuckle when he came out, he still had many fans cheering at the end of the performance and was seen as one of the last people to leave th autograph signing. Maybe other Idol hopers should take a page from Sanjaya's book and do something a little out of the ordinary to get ahead.
