Stipper-wear Became Fashionable?
Lucite is becoming a hot new trend this sping!
A surprisingly shocking trend this Spring is the intoduction of Lucite accessories. Lucite is the clear plastic used in strippers shoes and is making a classy comback in 2007. Several hot designers have begun incorporating this plastic material into their latest shoes and jewlery. The clear plastic creates a "floating" illusion which is appealing to many hot new designers. Many celebrities such as Nicky Hilton, Drew Barrymore, and Nelly Furtato have been spotted wearing this Springs hottest new trend. Although I have always associated lucite with the rank smell of a strip club, I may just have to pick up a pair of Stuart Weitzman's new shoes which clearly exemplify his use of lucite. Who would have ever thought that strippers had a fashion secret all along? As a young fashionista, I think that this is a great look for spring and is very versatile, as the clear plastic matches with any color! Do I expect this trend to last...probably not. Once fall rolls around, I can see this trend dropping off very quicky and some hot new fall styles should set back in. So remember, be stripper-classy this spring and go buy some lucite shoes!
