Project Proposal
The comic book seems to have fallen through
Mostly due to this guy having no direction at all
I keep asking him
What are we doing
And he has all these expectations of me
That I don't have the drive to fulfill
What I've been thinking about lately though
Is photography
I haven't done much photography since I got to U of M
Though I developed a lot of my own film in highschool
I want to revisit my interest in photography
And see where it takes me
I have recently become interested in stall walls
of public bathrooms
Who doesn't sit there and read everything?
Which then got me thinking about public toilets
and how ugly
but beautiful they are in their rawness
Dirtyness can be beautiful
I want to photograph the ugly
I also want to see other photographs of the ugly
and how they compare
So I will take a picture when I see something ugly
Which probably means that it is beautiful too
"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet"
So what does ugly mean?
