Investment Pieces
This winter season has been guided by a prevailing shift towards the Avant-garde that characterizes the trends.
But while avant-garde fashion’s influence often remains, it presence does not. So to avoiding looking so last season before this one even ends, buy trendy, but classic pieces. So don’t invest in trend pieces, investment trend pieces. Buy pieces in fabrics that are winter staples, such as wool and cashmere blends, that incorporate the trends in the details. For example, instead of looking fashion-forward in a purple shift dress, buy more of an investment piece such as a sweater or knit in your most flattering shade of purple
Or you can always do it the bagborroworsteal way. It’s like renting a car, only your renting your handbags, jewelry, and accessories. Use them now while they’re hot, then return them when they’re not, for merely at a fraction of the retail price.
