Speculating on Earrings

I suppose my earrings have become quite a collection. I buy earrings almost subconsciously whenever they are on sale, if they match my outfit, or i just like them. I've got a lot of different pairs. I have every color in the rainbow. I have hoops, dangling earrings, gauges, studs, and all different shapes. There are so many; I have three boxes full. They are arranged by size and how often I wear them. The ones I wear the most are on top, the smaller ones are in the small box, and the larger ones are kept in the biggest box.

They are significant to me because I constantly need to feel decorated from my feet up! I have an obsession to match and to always bring out something new to surprise people. Although, I do understand that people are probably not checking out my ears. I think that every person wants to present themselves as attractive people with a good sense of style. So, I am sure that it is common for people to buy accessories to match specific outfits or colors or styles. Maybe, I took it to a little extreme, because I have so many. But, when I walk out the door in the morning with a pair of earrings that I felt matched my outfit perfectly, I have a new level of confidence and that much more pride.

It has been part of human history to adorn themselves, so I find that these earrings are similar in the way it portrays me. Those that were more adorned in history may have been people of higher ranking or social status. I feel that this still exists somewhat in the jewlery today. With my earrings, maybe the more that I have people will think differently of me. Maybe, they think that I have more money to buy so many earrings. Who knows.
